Sabina Mirri opened her first solo show at age nineteen after studying painting under Giulio

Sabina Mirri ( Rome 1957) Currently living  and working in Petrolo, Mercatale Valdarno( Arezzo). Mirri studied painting at the Liceo Artistico in Rome, in 1976 she debuted, at an early age, in the art world with a solo show in Rome, and from there she took part in several show dedicated to the Post-Transavanguardia. Then she moved to New York, where she exhibited at the Annina Nosei gallery, booth in solo and group exhibition.During the 80’s and 90’s, she took part in important international exhibitions in Washington at the Hirshhorn Museum, Oslo,Basel,Paris, Tokio and Madrid, and in several biennals:  the 13th Paris Biennale, thr 18th San Paolo Biennale, the 2nd International Art Biennial of Istanbul, the Biennale Trigon in Graz, and others. The most recently show are: 2017 “Inventario provvisorio”, Passaggi gallery Pisa; 2020 “Gonna be a cult character” Alessandra Bonomo gallery Rome; 2021 “LA VITA NOVA” Barracco Museum Rome curated by Alessandra Mammì;  “Mirage”, Palazzo Liberati, Ponzano Romano curated by Graziano Melascina. Mirri’s work are present in important collections of contemporary art, both public and private.
